Introducing the Black+Decker® 18V SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Drill Bare Unit, delivering long lasting power without the hassle of a power cord. Quickly change between three drilling and hammer modes to suit the task at hand, and the 1.2J motor delivers high impact energy making it easier to complete tasks.
The SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Drill has an ergonomic, lightweight and vibration resistant design. It includes an Adjustable and removable side handle (ideal for both one and two handed use), Depth stop, an integrated LED work light for improved visibility and performance in dark environments and can be used comfortably in a range of applications. The increased efficiency of the SDS Plus System makes it possible to power through tougher hammer drilling jobs in a fraction of the time it would take a conventional hammer drill. Additionally, the unbeatable convenience of Lithium-ion battery power means it can be used all over the home and garden without having to worry about running an extension lead to the nearest power socket.
The selector switch on the SDS Plus enables the user to set it to Rotary, Rotary Hammer or Hammer only and may be used for drilling into a wide variety of materials, as well as for light duty chiseling and demolition applications. Fitted with an SDS Plus chuck it allows the use of SDS Plus Drill Bits and Chisels. The 4.0Ah Starter Kit includes a Chuck Adaptor and Key, enabling the use of standard straight shank accessories in rotary mode only.
Applications include fixing Hardware fixtures, drilling holes and fastening of hanging pipes, Small channeling in brick and masonry, Heavy Duty drilling of anchor and fixing holes into concrete and masonry from 4 to 20 mm in diameter, light electrical channeling, breaking through plug boxes, removing tiles and renderings, light chipping and chiseling of tile, mortar, glazing compounds and other masonry products with hammers with a rotation stop feature.
